About Me

I'm a South Carolina Native. I was born and raised here in the South and I really can't see myself being anywhere else.Well except for maybe Montana. We all have that dream place we want to be, mine is a cabin somewhere in the mountains of Montana. Who knows, maybe I will make it there someday. In the meantime, I live on my parents property with my husband, son, daughter in law and two beautiful grandkids. My husband  Marty took over my father's construction company. Our son works with him and our daughter in law helps me run the office. So we have a full-time family owned business.

Marty and I bred American Pit Bull Terriers for twenty plus years. We have now stepped it down a little and breed Boston Terriers and Pit Bull Hybrids. We average about one litter every two to three years now since so many dogs are living in our shelters. But that's not about me, that is another story entirely. In a nutshell, we have a lot of dogs.

I am a Paranormal Author and Blogger. I started out writing my families story of dealing with our own paranormal experiences, then it branched to other things. I have always had a passion for writing. My family and I were active members of a Paranormal team for about four years, from there we created the Carolina Cryptid Crew. Then after our time spent on the Paranormal team, we branched out yet again and Created Carolina H. O. P. E.. I love both of these teams dearly. We have an awesome group of people that genuinely love to help others. Being on these teams has given me a lot of experiences that I otherwise wouldn't have had.  I became a writer and a Paranormal Investigator because I wanted to help others. This is the best way I have found to do both.

My Non-Fiction books are written on my own personal experiences. It took a lot for me to write the Paranormal books and put my personal life out there for the whole world to see. Writing the two Bigfoot books, was much easier. I know that may seem odd. It seems like it would be easier to tell people that your house is haunted rather than you have seen Bigfoot.Either way, I feel blessed to have had my experiences, the good and the bad, as I have learned from both. Now my fiction book was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I enjoyed taking a break from all of the serious writing and just have some fun. It allowed my imagination to run wild, and that was a nice treat. But when it came time to publish it, I had a mini panic attack. I put off publishing it for a while, finally after encouragement from my proofreaders, I took a deep breath and sent it out. It didn't do as good as I had hoped. But that is perfectly fine. Someone out there will enjoy it. I do see more fiction books in my future. I enjoy being able to allow my imagination to run free, whereas the Paranormal  and Bigfoot books have to be as accurate as possible.

My Digital Designs. Yep, I also do digital designs. That is where you will find me when I'm not writing. I love creating, again that gives an outlet for my imagination. Feel free to check out what I have to offer at http://southernmooncreations.blogspot.com

I guess the last thing about me, other than the fact that I eat dry cereal from the box and I like fried chicken from the refrigerator, is that I live with Chronic pain. A lot of people are not aware of this, as this does not define who I am. I have Fibromyalgia, spinal arthritis, and COPD. The Fibro and arthritis are hard for me as far as movement most days while the COPD is somewhat controlled with my inhalers. That is as long as I stay away from smoke, fumes, perfume, cologne, air fresheners etc. LOL. This is why so much time is spent writing. I can actually do that without having to type. My husband bought me a program that will allow me to talk and it turns it into text, so I can sit or get up and walk around as I get my thoughts down for my book. Digital recorders are great for this too.

So, now that you know everything there is to know about me, go do something that isn't quite as boring, like follow my Pinterest board or follow my page on facebook, you can even follow my personal facebook page and come hang out with me and my friends. I would love to have you! And don't forget you can always read book excerpts on my Book Blog! Until next time, XXX
